Pedders Suspension Review on Isuzu V-Cross

The Isuzu DMax VCross is already a very capable vehicle when it comes to driving off road, however you can unlock all of its potential, with a Pedders Suspension lift kit. The kit that we are reviewing is designed to raise the ride height of the V-Cross by 40mm, with other great benefits of increasing the payload and towing capabilities.

Pedders Suspension specialise in vehicles designed to go off road. They do also have kits designed for other applications. The kit which we have installed to a new Isuzu DMax VCross, is 803410, Heavy Duty Load Carrying and Towing kit.

The kit comes with the front shocks and springs already assembled, so if you were to install this yourself, it’s a couple of bolts to swap out the standard suspension with these. The rear is also a very easy installation, which our kit came with a rear anti roll bar, which really brings the truck to life. More on that later.

The rear leaf springs, the difference is very noticeable compared to the standard Isuzu suspension. Its far more robust and from looking at it, you can clearly see its designed to take some significant weight. The kit increased the maximum load capacity of the rear of the truck, by 300kg. This is great if you are also adding more extras onto your truck, for example a roof tent, drawers in the back of the truck and so on. The rear shocks are very well suited to the uprated leaf springs, which makes the drive on and off road very comfortable indeed!

The kit comes with a rear anti roll bar, which has three settings, which are easily adjustable to suit your needs. The anti roll bar is very noticeable when driving on road, it helps to control the rear of the truck with body roll which makes the driving feel more engaged, as well as making the driving experience more stable. Its seems very underrated however the rear anti roll bar ties in the whole setup perfectly. An absolute must to install onto your truck!

Overall the Pedders Suspension kit is an absolute must if you are planning on going off road quite regularly with your Isuzu D-Max. The benefits and capabilities it unlocks for your vehicle is more than the price tag of the kit. Have the setup complimented by Predator alloy wheels and off roading tyres by Falken, this is a vehicle setup that I encourage you to try. You will struggle to not install it onto your vehicle for off roading!
